Division of Asset Management
The GVI Asset Management Division manages policies and procedures that address government assets’ acquisition, use, control, protection, maintenance, and disposal, from the acquisition through retirement and disposal of fixed assets owned and controlled by the Government of the Virgin Islands. The primary objective is to achieve consistency in GVI procedures, maximize the usage of Government real and personal properties, and effectively track and account for all Government property. This will involve implementing an effective and accurate process for tracking Government Assets.

Once approved, e-waste must be disposed of in accordance with waste management guidelines.
Complete a Home Use Authorization form, have the agency head sign it, and submit it to our division at fixedasset@dpp.vi.gov.
Once an asset has reached the end of its useful life complete a Report of Survey Form for further processing.

No. Agencies must follow the procedures outlined by DPP to dispose of all items in its inventory. It is illegal to throw electronic waste in the Territory’s landfills. Agencies must:
- Obtain authorization from DPP to discard assets.
- Select a licensed vendor through the GVI’s procurement process to arrange disposal.
